Privacy & permissions

This local pilot collects one video, a short description, contact email, age band, residence country (and Canadian province/territory), submitter role, and permission acknowledgments. Player details, team, playing level, category, game date and event location, private name, and public social credit are optional. People 13+ in the U.S. and Canada excluding Québec can submit themselves. A parent or guardian submits for children under 13. Final participation and publication wording requires review before public launch.

Private review

Authorized BJD reviewers use these details to evaluate the clip, prepare a potential feature, and contact the submitter if needed. Submission does not guarantee publication. Email addresses and private review notes are not published. Age/region details remain private. We do not require an account, verify email before upload, send automated feature messages, or subscribe submitters to marketing. Collaborator invitations are sent manually when a clip is featured on Instagram and an eligible account is supplied. Selection, acceptance, and views are not guaranteed.

Storage and retention

Original videos, review previews, submission details, and the permission record remain in private storage until published, until a BJD administrator deletes them, or until 30 days pass with no selection or publication decision, whichever happens first. A submission that is never selected or published is automatically removed 30 days after it is submitted; publishing a clip stops that timer. Abandoned uploads are scheduled for cleanup after 24 hours. Deletion removes the submission from the review inbox immediately; background cleanup removes files and purges the record after an upload-expiry safety period of up to 48 hours. Existing playback links expire within five minutes. Infrastructure backup retention is controlled by the hosting provider.

Feature permission

I have the authority and necessary rights to submit this footage for private BJD review and to allow Big John Dangles to edit and feature it on BJD social channels. I approve use of the public credit details I choose to supply. If I submit as a parent or guardian, I confirm that relationship. BJD may contact me to resolve permissions before publication. Submission does not guarantee selection, a collaborator invitation being accepted, or any number of views. My email, eligibility details and review notes remain private. The footage, submission details and permission record are retained privately until administrator deletion. This permission does not enroll me in marketing or authorize use in paid advertisements or website sales material.

This is pilot wording awaiting launch review. Existing submissions retain the exact wording accepted at submission. Permission for a social feature does not automatically authorize paid advertising or use on website sales pages; those uses require separate permission.

Request a correction or deletion

Enter the submission ID from your receipt and the email address you submitted with. A match removes your video and submission details the same way an administrator deletion does. No account or password is required.

Service providers

The app uses Supabase for private file storage, submission records, and reviewer authentication; Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated abuse. Rate limiting uses a hashed connection identifier rather than retaining a raw IP address in submission records. No Shopify account or purchase is required. A channel label (Instagram, Facebook, Shopify, or direct) helps BJD understand where submissions originate. It is not proof of a social account or verified identity.
